Yes you can have it, as such no contraindication
Detailed Answer:
hello,
You can use whey protein, there is no contraindication to it. However, another alternative is soygrowth powder which is to be consumed with meals which is commonly used in patients and it's a very rich source of protein, but taste is the issue. Also, dietary protein is sufficient to maintain muscle mass, supplements are not required.
Your medicines are fine, lifestyle is also good. You need to focus on loosing weight through calories restriction. You can get one diet chart prepared from dietician for low calorie diet.
You should consume fruits and/or vegetables daily, replace refined grains like white bread, white rice with whole grains whole bread and brown rice, Should avoid red meat and instead have sea foods, eggs, beans, nuts and seeds as a source of protein. Low salt diet and avoid Sweetened beverages. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 to 7 days a week. Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts. All the best.
1. I can take whey protein due to no contradiction with my current medicines OR, I can use eggs, soy etc. as other means of dietary protein (its completely my choice) I can even alternate both..Am I right?
2. Can I take whole eggs or should I avoid egg yolks?
3. Is my drink quantity (180 ml / week mainly on weekend i.e. Sunday) is safe and healthy or is there any modification required? may be once a while it goes little above ... may be add on of 60 ml but that is only in parties etc. generally, I take 180 ml whiskey or 2 cans of beer (1000 ml) on Sunday.
4. Do I need to replace common salt (I currently consume Tata lite low sodium) with rock salt (sandha namak) for reduced sodium content? But I doubt on low values of Iodine in rock salt?
5. Is there any multivitamin you can suggest? or Do I need to modify my current intake as listed below?:
(a) Drise 60k vitamin D capsule once in 15 days (prescribed by my doctor)
(b) 2 capsules per week - Salmon oil 1000 mg (not prescribed; I take as my choice)
(c) Himalaya Liv52 DS 2 tablets every alternate day (not prescribed; I take as my choice)
(d) Nuerobion Plus 1 tablet twice / thrice a week (prescribed by my doctor)
Thanks for your help and time Sir!

Some supplements can have side effects
Detailed answer:
Hi again
You can alternate with both, you can use either. Egg yellow should be avoided as it contains high cholesterol. Alcohol quantity is fine, you are allowed to have this much alcohol. There is no clearcut benefit of using rock salt instead of common salt as sodium content is more or less same in both. So you need to restrict both salts.
If you are having healthy diet then there is no benefit of additionally taking multivitamins, still if you want you can have cap Zevit or AtoZ once a day. Also, you should get Vit D levels checked once before continuing it for longer time. If you were deficient in it, then usual dose if 60 k once a week for eight weeks, followed by once a month for 6 months.
You can continue neurobion forte as I don't know the indication for starting it. Salmon oil, Liv 52 should be discontinued if not prescribed. Unnecessary medicine should be avoided as it may lead drug interactions and may decrease the effect of other drugs. Ayurvedic medicine can have side effects in long term especially one with heavy metals.
Hope this covers your doubt.
