Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I am glad to hear from you on HCM again!
As every different class of anti hypertensive therapy has its different adverse effects, it is important to find the most appropriate or compatible therapy based on every individual characteristics (accounting for potential commodities, responsible mechanisms of hypertension, known hypersensibility, and other concomitant therapies, etc.).
Please could you provide me with information regarding two more points:
1. Have you experienced any adverse effects while taking your actual therapy?
I would like to know concrete evidence in order to be possible for me to recommend you more safe anti hypertensive combinations, without side effects.
2.Has your actual anti hypertensive therapy shown to be effective in controlling your blood pressure? What are your actual blood pressure values?
Please provide me with more information about the above mentioned issues. I would be glad to be helpful in guiding you the most appropriate anti hypertensive therapy.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards!
Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Thank you for the additional information provided!
I would explain that amlodipine helps lowering your blood pressure as it is an antihypertensive drug (calcium channel blocker), while ibuprofen can lead to a raise in your blood pressure as an adverse effect.
No one of these drugs is related to trouble sleeping as an adverse effects.
The diggestive issues can be relate to all of them:
-Ibuprofen can cause nausea, dyspepsia (indigestion), heartburn, vomiting and constipation
-amlodipine can cause constipation, rarely nausea and abdominal pain.
-irbesartan could be related to dyspepsia and diarrhea
Ibuprofen seems to show a higher frequence of diggestive adverse effects than the other drugs.
I recommend discussing with your doctor on the above issues.
Regarding the sleep disorder, I recommend discussing with a neurologist and start the proper therapy. Melatonine could help regulate your physiological cycle (day-night).
Hope to have been of help!
Greetings!
Dr. Iliri
Thank you
There is nothing to worry about!
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Regarding your concern, you should know that as long as your liver function tests and your kidney function tests result normal, there is nothing to worry about.
So it is safe to use amlodipine, irbesartan or atacand in this clinical condition, if you have a normal liver and kidney function.
Hope to have been of help!
