Question: My daughter has had 2 concosions on the right side of her face - thought to be a mygraine and now has been told it was trimi (?spelling) neuralgia has had a botox treatment and now is what I think worse. Do you have any info that might help - was also mentioned Bell's Palsy? Would love to get you the different tests she has had, but since she is beyond the age where I could do that I have to tread lightly. Her name is XXXXXXX Cooke and the hospital where her Neurologist is XXXXXXX and Memorial Hospital, New London,CT.
Will try to talk with my daughter later and see if she will release her info. Thank you for anything you can give me

Brief Answer:
Further details are necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Concussions happen only after trauma, so, did your daughter had any trauma in the face or head recently?

Trigeminal neuralgia is caused mainly by a neurovascular conflict inside the skull.

Botox injection in conditions such trigeminal neuralgia may be used only after drugs treatment and rhisolysis have failed to improve symptoms, but lacks large studies evidence to support Botox injections.

Bell's palsy is a condition that is easily noticeable because of one side of the face paralysis.

It is necessary to provide MRI results and treatment ways exhausted till now in order to understand better your daughter's situation.

Awaiting for further information...,,,
