Does Bupropion Interact With Levothyroxine And Nefazodone?
Bupropion Hlc xl 150 mg
Levothyroxine 88mg
Mirtazapine 45 mg
Nefazodone 400 mg
Alprazolam .5 mg
I am groggy in the morning so the doctor suggested I cut down my Mittazapine to 30 and Alprazolam to .25. My depression seems to be getting worse and I'm still groggy in the morning. I used to take Ambien at night but have not for several months. I am thinking of going back up to 45 on mirtazapine and maybe replacing my Alprazolam with Ambien. Does that sound OK. Do you have any other suggestions for me? I'm tired of being depressed and feeling groggy in the morning. Thank you so much for your help
It is safe to switch to Ambien
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the query at HCM
It is safe to switch from alprazolam to ambien. Ambien contains zolpidem which has lesser side effects like fatigue and feeling of hang over as compared to alprazolam.
If you feel that the depression is worsening with decreased dose of mirtazipine, I would recommend switching back to your original dose of 45 mg and see if it helps.
I would also recommend to check your thyroid function.
You can also try decreasing dose of Nefazadone, as it can cause sedation and tiredness.
Please be advised to follow up with your treating physician to make the necessary changes.
Hope this answers your question
