Brief Answer:
probiotics may help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

clindamycin may indeed cause colitis due to C difficile although the dosage seems to be low (150mg instead of 300mg) and many other antibiotics may do so as well. Amoxicillin is one of them but it's not so commonly involved with colitis.

The only thing you can do to prevent colitis is to use probiotics, like Saccharomyces boulardii for example. If the antibiotic is necessary then it has to be taken. Most dental infections get better after invasive treatment. The antibiotic is rarely enough on its own.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
