Does Famotidine Help Manage Burning Sensation After Eating Greasy Food?
Question: I have a problem with eating greasy food. Would famotidine help?
Brief Answer:
Famotidine should help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Yes, famotidine should help you with burning sensations after eating.
Famotidine is an H2 histamine blocker which works by reducing the amount of acid in your stomach. Stomach acid irritates the digestive tissues and causes heartburn and pain.
If you are using over the counter famotidine take it half an hour before food once a day in morning. Try to take it regularly to get the best results. Do not use more than 2 tablets a day.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Thank you for the advice. I will check with my primary care physician before taking action. This same medication was prescribed for me several years ago after an endoscopic examination revealed a minor inflammation near the entrance to my stomach.
I checked with you because it was 5 o'clock in the morning and my DR was not available.
