Question: Does 1000 mg of Niacin ( Prescribed ) lower your BP . Age 60 . BP is 101over 60 . HR 48 . Itching and flushed . Took with low dose aspirin . Male

Yes Niacin 1000 mg has been reported to cause hypotension (lower BP), skin itching and flush.

If the BP is below 80 mmHg you should stop taking niacin.
