Does Zoloft Interact With Meloxicam?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi, I am taking Zologt (50mg) and just now took a meloxicam. I did not think to check for an interaction until now. Should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
NO, there is no significant interaction between them!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
There is no significant interaction between Zoloft and meloxicam. The increased risk of bleeding is real but not enough to warrant these drugs not to be taken together. Clients who actually take them together have rarely reported any problems. However, I will not recommend you take meloxicam for a long time as it can cause stomach bleeding. If you must be on it for long, talk to your doctor.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me for more clarifications if need be.

Thank you so much, Dr. Ditah.
I actually didn't want to take the meloxicam but I had a migraine and had read somewhere a note about Excedrin Migraine and Zoloft not being a good mix. As it is an NSAID too is this actually possible to combiine - Excedrin Migraine (perhaps twice a month) and Zoloft?
Many thanks!
