What Causes Red Rashes And Stomach Cramps?

I am 63, female, 5'-0", 134 lbs. I take several medications for high blood pressure, underactive thyroid, estrogen, Meloxicam for arthritis, and low-dosage aspirin. Yesterday I had a bad crampy pain in my upper stomach all day. Today I have a red rash on my arms and I am urinating orange. I don't have the pain today, but my urine color worries me.

Hello,

You have stomach cramps, orange urine associated with red rashes. You take various prescription medications. The change in urine color may be indicative of dehydration, bile passing into the urine due to liver dysfunction or gall bladder issue, kidney stones, UTI, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get Urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done. The urine report will help to prescribe specific antibiotics needed for you.

Your treating doctor will suggest few blood and imaging tests to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, you can take anti-spasmodic to ease stomach cramps. Antacids and PPIs are helpful. Avoid taking oily spicy food. Take boiled well cooked food for a couple of days to detox your liver.

Take plenty of water. Take liver tonics (Liv 52) and food good for the liver. Avoid addictions if any. Take adequate rest. Take care of your hygiene. Wash your clothes and bedding in hot water frequently. Take regular bath & wear cotton clothes. Do not share your toiletries. Do not use public washrooms / toilets. Apply ointment Soframycin or Neosporin on the rashes for relieve. Avoid exposure to sunlight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
