Does Breast Feeding Mother's Diet Impact In Any Way To The Health Of The Kid?

I am having a point which i wish to confirm. I am having a baby of 11 weeks and she is completely on mother's feed. Does mother's diet impact in any way to the health of the kid. Generally i heard that feeding mothers should avoid cold items like ice creams and cold stuff as it spreads cold to their baby. Is this correct or is just a myth!!
It's a Myth

Hi XXXXXXX
Greetings From Healthcaremagic.
Mother’s diet do have an impact on the quality of breast milk and hence on baby’s health. To be clearer the quality of mother's diet, before conceiving , during pregnancy and at the time of lactation, determines the quality of milk, as the mother’s body reserves are used to maintain the nutritional composition of breast milk. However, taking a balanced diet with proper fluid intake and protein is always recommended, so that the mother’s body can maintain its nutrient balance. make sure that she continues to take her prenatal multivitamins especially Vit D.
The flavor of breast milk is directly influenced by what the mother eats on day to day basis. Therefore, taking a variety of foods with different flavors would make the baby more acceptable to different foods when they are put to weaning. The two things that have a direct effect on baby’s health are Caffeine and alcohol. While alcohol is a strict no, caffeine may be taken in limited quantities.
“Feeding mothers should avoid cold food “ is actually an overrated MYTH, as the temperature of the food changes after they are eaten, so cold is limited to the mouth only. However, if the mother has cold, cough or any other related issue then she must avoid the foods that aggravate the condition. This would help in quicker recovery and hence reduced effect on baby’s health.
Hope it satisfy your query.
