Does Childhood Dietary Habits Continue Into Adulthood?
Eating tendency in childhood
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Dietary behavior e.g excessive eating or binge eating in childhood is psycho-social (often related to similar practice among other member of family) and also related to relatively high basal metabolic rate (BMR) and nutritional requirement for growth.
Whether this behavior will continue in adulthood is uncertain.
The individual may or may not take interest in food as intense as in childhood.
As a person matures, he/she becomes weight conscious as obesity has social stigma and often obese person is a subject of ridicule.
As one grows up, he/she often takes more interest in exercise and dieting as the person likes to remain physically fit and attractive specially to member of opposite sex, as a natural phenomenon.
