Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With IBS and negative work up, pain and inflammation in gastro intestinal tract is common in IBS but use of narcotics or hyoscyamine is not wise as both these further slower the motility of already slowed down bowels functionality and exacerbates the symptoms. Treatment of IBS is mostly supportive. Small frequent meals, regular exercises, avoiding triggers in foods like spices, dairy products, fatty foods, processed foods, canned foods, tea, coffee, alcohol, beverages, chocolates, binge eating etc should be avoided. Keep the BMI of weight below 25, use more fresh fruits and vegetables. Prescription of low dose of amitriptyline will help with IBS symptoms. Use of yogurt and peppermint will work as natural probiotic and antispasmodic.
Esophagitis needs supportive treatment as well, above mentioned triggers avoidance will help esophagitis as well. Delay lying down after meals for at least two hours, Keep head side of the bed elevated for at least 8 inches. Take some antacids like PPIs, H2 blockers for the esophagitis, Avoid NSAIDs or any other pain killers that worsen gastric mucosa or motility. Adapt godo pill taking habit, that is drink at least 8 ounces of fluid while taking any pill. Last but not the least if you smoke, please quit that.
Consult alternative medicine approach with your gastroenterologist for these IBS symptoms and esophagitis and see what else they have to offer.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Brief Answer:
Tests done dont cause any cancer or worries

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

All the tests to investigate are for very short exposure can not worsen or lead to malignancies and should not be worried about. Worsening of symptoms of XXXXXXX esophagus is though a premalignant risk for adenocarcinoma of stomach but with proper control of acid reflux, diet lifestyle adjustments and supportive care, this issue wont lead to that. Followups at least once a year is advised to keep an eye on metaplastic epithelium of barrett's esophagus. Nutshell, the nuclear test for endo or endoscopic biopsies is highly unlikely to cause any risk like the ones you mentioned. Some adverse effects are noted but those are momentarily and resolve in a couple of hours and nothing long lasting. YOu should get in touch with you doctor for further evaluation and meanwhile focus on management of IBS symptoms, GERD and diet lifestyle.

I hope it helps.
