Does Intake Of AMP Supplements Help In Treating Irregular Heartbeat?
Question: Hi, I have photosentivity and am looking for a natural supplement for AMP(Adenosine monophosphate). I have PAC's and have read conflicting things regarding this supplement. I have read that it helps with irregular heart beat and have also read that it can slow your heart beat. I am trying to figure out which one it is.
Brief Answer:
You should avoid.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
AMP is said to be helpful in irregular heartbeat and it does that by reducing the heart rate as like the other drugs known as Beta blockers do.
Since behavior of any supplement like AMP is uncertain and can differ with every individual so you should ideally avoid it as it may affect your heart beat.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Thank you for the information, do you know of anything that will assist with photosensitivity?
Brief Answer:
You Need to be evaluated.
Detailed Answer:
You would need to be evaluated for the causes of photosensitivity and we need to see what is causing that like it's limited to skin only or is it a part of some systemic diseases like Lupus.
The only best treatment I can tell you is use of high SPF sunscreen every 4-6 hourly even if you are not in sun and to apply a thick layer.
I hope it helps.
