Does Intake Of Augmentin Syrup, Sinarest Drop And Calpol Help In Treating Cold?

Question: My Daughter is just 1 month and 2 week old and because of current weather condition she is suffering from Cold and fever. We visited Pediatrician yesterday and he said my daughter also suffers from Ear infection because of Cold. He has prescribed following medicines
1) Augmentin Syrup 3.3g/30ml:- 2.5ml 2 time a day
2) Sinarest Drop:- 7 drop three time a day
3) Calpol:- 7 drop three time a day
4) Otilan:- 2 drops two time a date
Is the medical prescription is correct. If there is any suggestion for any of the medicines.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Your doctor is treating on lines of bacterial infection. I assume that he has the basis for the same. Although most often such infections are due to viral cause and do not require to be treated with antibiotics, I would not like to differ from your doctor since I cannot examine her clinically. Please follow his advice. The other medicines are fine and can be given without worries.
