Brief Answer:
You can start with robaxin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Robaxin is a centrally acting muscle relaxant. It can cause a mild sedation but it will decrease the neck muscle spasm and will help in an earlier relief.
You can start taking Robaxin as advised and once the pain subsides, do start with regular physiotherapy exercises to restore the flexibility of the neck muscles.
I hope this answers your query.

I went to a pain management clinic on today and the doctor stated that I was a candidate for nerve block shots in the shoukder/ neck. But I can't do it until September. She told me to take the meds that I have until then. How long does the roboxin take effect or does it just depend. Is the nerve blockage a good procedure or do you think the muscle relaxers woukd be effective.

Brief Answer:
Muscle relaxants are a better option.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Taking muscle relaxants is a better option. Nerve block should be given in case muscle relaxants, physiotherapy and pain killers fail to provide any relief. Usually roboxin shows an effect in 3-5 days.
