Hello, and thanks for your question.

tinyurl.com/DrSheppeAnswers,my son has been incarcerated for 14 yrs. don't knowhow long he's been on trilafon but the voices he hears are down to whispers.his sentence was 35 yrs. will these voices ever go away? he said last year he felt terrible and one of his hallucinations it starts to get bad. he starts thinking crazy things, after its over he doesn't remember. (he thought he was jesus)
Brief Answer:
Followup
Detailed Answer:
It is possible these voices will go away with Trilafon treatment. However, a significant percentage of people treated can have residual symptoms such as whispering voices that persist despite treatment, for several years. So the best way to proceed is to continue treatment with Trilafon and hope for the best.
