Does Labium Tear Could Cause Anterior Hip Pain?
Question: have rt hip pain can't put on rt sock without pain in hip . orthopedic says thinks it's labium tear but isn't that in groin area? have arthuritis , 8 back surgeries - the last 3 yrs ago with implant of stimulator.
Brief Answer:
could be due to posterior labral tear.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query
Anterior hip or groin pain is more consistent with an anterior labral tear, whereas buttock pain is more consistent with a posterior labral tear . So it could be due to posterior labral tear as suspected by your orthopaedic after clinical examination. As MRI can not be done in your case, arthroscopy of hip would be helpful in your case to diagnose and treat the condition.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
