Brief Answer:
Yes,to some extent

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

Losartan belongs to a class of antihypertensive drug angiotensin II antagonist. This drug does not allow this enzyme(angiotensin 2) to effect and prevents its effects.

Normally due to effect of this enzyme fluid is retained by kidneys, which is not desirable in patients of hypertension.

The net action of this drug when taken is:
> Increases the amount of fluid removed from the blood by the kidneys.

This decreases the amount of fluid in the blood vessels and due to this there less resistance and pressure in the blood vessels which also reduces blood pressure.

I hope this helps .

Regards,

Dr.Pragnesh

There is nothing to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Good to hear from you again.

When there is overload of fluid in body, this might happen.

Otherwise normally this not a major concern.

Any drug when started takes about 7-10 days for body get adjusted with it.

I think it should be not be a problem after this.
