Does Sinus Cause Lump On The Roof Of Mouth?
Question: Can your sinuses cause you to have a lump on the roof of your mouth?
Hi
Thanks for the query
It is very unusual for the sinuses to cause the lump in the hard palate. The swelling can be noticed in the following conditions such as:
(i) Dehiscence of the bone in the hard palate
(ii) Malignancies of the sinuses
(iii) Sinusitis with its complications
Otherwise, the swelling in the hard palate is commonly noticed when there is a blockage of the minor salivary glands present in hard palate, which is totally unrelated to the sinuses. The blocked gland thus swells up giving the appearance of a tense cyst.
Hope I have answered your query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.
