Does Smoking Cause Hemoptysis?
Question: I am having continuous cough issues. I get black and sticky cough every time. I am a smoker and trying to cut down But first i want to get rid of this cough issue. Kindly suggest.

And common causes for hemoptysis are bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis and lung infection.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Smoking cessation is must in any case.

Well treatment is basically dependent on cause.
But first of all, you should quit smoking as soon as possible. There is no other alternative for this.
So quit smoking first.
You should take antihistamine and anti inflammatory drug combination. Trade name of this combination is diamonic DCA.
Also take syrup asthakind DX or corex DX.
Also get done chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to confirm the diagnosis.
