Done Tubal Ligation After C Section, Missed Periods, Brown Discharge, Bloating. What Can This Be?

Question: Hi, I had a tubal ligation after a C-section 9 years ago.. I recently missed my last 3 periods (this has happened before), but this time, every time my period is due I get slight yellowish, light brown discharge for a day, but no period. I am always tired, urinate often , feel bloated and gas, but I don't have pregnancy symptons, like vomiting or sore breasts, etc. Also, has slight spotting right after sex, but no pain or anything. What can this be. I have also felt lil flutters in my stomach, but someone also told me that is a sign of maybe a fibroid.
Hello,
Thanks for the question.
This is unlikely to be pregnancy. But cause for such delay in menses cannot be predicted just by symptoms. There are many ovarian, hormonal and uterine causes which can present like this.
Ideally you should get a sonography of pelvis done for evaluation of uterus and ovaries. This will also rule out fibroid. Also get a pap smear done, if not done recently.
Other symptom urinating often arise suspicion of UTI, so getting urine analysis done to rule out infection would be ideal approach.
Please ask if there are doubts. Regards.

Wouldn't a urinary tract infection cause some discomfort?? I drink plenty water. Had one before. What are some problems that can cause menstration to stop in this fashion? Other thatn fatigue, I feel really ok. I ruled out stress cause I am in a fullfilling point in my life. Are there any serious issues that I should worry about?
UTI can be subclinical infection sometimes and in such cases not all symptoms are present.
Delayed menses can be due hormonal imbalance, ovarian cysts, PCOD, pre-menopausal state, anemia, undue stress or physical activity and medication etc.
These issues should arise concern, but not worry. These are not fatal symptoms.Seeing your doctor and getting clinical evaluation done can help plan the treatment.
Hope this answers your question.Regards.
