Experiencing Sudden Tingly Feeling In Head. Is This The Cause Of Concern?
Question: I have experienced a sudden tingly, fizzy feeling in my head as though a can of fizzy drink was released. The sensation was sudden and brief, but so unusual it has given me cause for concern. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause of this?
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
First of all, I would like to reassure you that your symptoms do not suggest any serious problem related to brain disease.
The most common cause could be a scalp paresthesia (related to mild dysfunction of the nerve located in scalp-the skin over the head).
Other possibility could be a transient vertigo (giddiness).
These symptoms can get aggravated with stress, lack of sleep, tiredness, etc.
As of now, there is no need to worry. However, if symptoms recur or lasts for longer duration, you may consult a neurologist.
Please get back if you have any more queries.
Wishing you good health,
