Found Lump On Hip Bone, Painful To Touch And Pain In Leg And Ankle. Is This Serious?

Thank you for the query.
Not much possibilities other than inguinal hernia in this location. Sometimes, abscess can appear which is also hard and painful to touch but the skin is read in its area and gives also symptoms like fever and shivers.
You can make a simple test. Push it gently while standing and try to cough. If you will find it moving forward while coughing, inguinal hernia is very possible. To be a 100% sure what it is, ultrasound of this region should be performed (maybe you can get it faster than surgeon visit).
Generally, patients with inguinal hernia should not wait for surgery especially when such symptoms appears, as there is always a risk that such hernia will get stuck and the contents of it (it can have intestine inside) can get necrotic due to ischemia.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Thank you for the query.
It is very hard to answer how urgent it is in your case not seeing it. It is a huge responsibility for your life. Simple inguinal hernia is a very problematic disease as it seems very trivial (and it is trivial in most cases) but it can immediately turn into very urgent cases.
If your pain is not hard to stand, you have no fever, your heart is not speeding up, your abdomen is not getting bigger and painful, you have no vomiting, gas and stool blockage, it can wait. But if any of this symptoms will appear, you should go to ER as soon as possible.
During waiting for the surgeon you should avoid any heavy objects lifting.
Hope this will help.

Thank you for the query.
You should avoid all mentioned by you exercises. Any abdominal pressure increasing exercise will make your hernia worst.
Hope this will help.
