Found Mucus In Stools, Colored Light To Dark Green. Diagnosed With GERD. Feeling Sick. Taking Lactose Free Diet. What Can Be Done?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
Regarding that GERD apart from the medicines as prescribed by your doctor take the following measures.
Do not let him lie down in the bed immediately after a meal.
Head end elevation of the bed may help.
Burp him properly after a meal.
Green color of the stool indicates increased gastric motility and is not of much significance. You also mentioned that the stool has no blood in it (all investigations are normal)
If your child has fever spikes further investigation are required.
Does he cry while passing urine?
Is there increased frequency of urination?
Is there history of sore throat?
Is he loosing weight?
Are there any chills associated with fever?
Based on these answers further blood and urine investigations including a X XXXXXXX chest, CBC, peripheral smear for MP, Mantoux, urine microscopy, urine culture and sensitivity, blood culture, etc may be required to arrive at a diagnosis.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
