Running nose and getting cold frequently is a viral infection.
Usually flu/ influenza virus and so many other viruses cause this problem.
This viral infection can occur 6 to 12 times in a year and still considered to be normal for the any individual.
Preventive Measures;-

Vaccination;
Go for vaccination of Flu/influenza which is freely available with any paediatrician. which should be done every year.
