Can Iron Tablets Cause Irregular Heart Beats?

i was told by a doctor that i have low iron in my blood system. he prescribed ferrimed. 30 tablets to be taken one per day..after two weeks of taking thses tablets i noticed that at night i would get severe palpitations ..these went on to being experienced all day long..lots of irregular heartbeats.then i read somewhere that iron poisoning can be deadly, affecting heart muscles. i made a decision to stop taking ferrimed. i sleep better now..and i only get like one palpitaion or irregular beat in about 15 to 30 min..could this be caused by iron tablets?

Hi,

check your levels of ferritin, serum iron and TIBC. Their levels will decide your dose and how much is to be taken. PBF, ECG and routine tests can also be done, check with medicine faculty. Do health and happiness OMBW course of 'Art of Living' it will help in diet, exercise and stress management techniques. Your recovery will be faster with it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
