HSG Report Showed Left Fallopian Normal With Free Peritoneal Spill, Right Fallopian Only Visualised. Meaning?
Question: hi i did a HSG - report says left falloopian normal in course with free peritoneal spill and right fallopian only visualised ti isthmic portion with no peritoneal spill of contrast on this side .. what does this mean
Hi, welcome and thanks for writing in.
There are two ovaries which are connected to uterus by follopian tubes. Each follipian tube has 4 parts cornua, isthmus, infundibulum and fimbria.
Your left follipian tube is completely patent. However right fallopian tube is visualised upto second part. It is possibly due to block or external adhesions.
I want to know few things, whether they tried selective salphingography? This procedure is performed at gynecologist or radiologist.
Let me know above answers. We will discuss further management in follow up.
Regards.
