What Could The HSG Test Findings Imply? How To Manage A Retest Without Anesthesia?

hello doctor. I got HSG test done on 19 september 2013. The report is written as :"Uterus is partially filled and is not seen properly. Both fallopian tubes appear normal. Small amount of free peritoneal spill seen on both sides". The doctor who performed said that its normal. But the other doctor said that it is not fine and asked me to undergo this test again. I am a bit scared this time as she would be doing it without anesthesia. Could you please guide?

Hi,

HSG test will imply if your both fallopian tubes are patent or not and further treatment can be done accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
