Detailed Answer:
As you did mention about your menstrual problem,Stopping having period when you had period earlier is known as secondary amenorrhea it's relatively common and it's seen that it's estimated to affect around 1 in 25 women at some point in their lives.
There are some common causes of such problem as follows:-
1.polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) – a condition which can mean your ovaries do not regularly release an egg (ovulate)
2.hypothalamic amenorrhoea – where the part of the brain that regulates the menstrual cycle stops working properly (thought to be triggered by excessive exercise, excessive weight loss and stress)
3.hyperprolactinaemia – where a person has abnormally high levels of a hormone called prolactin in their blood
4.premature ovarian failure – where the ovaries stop working properly in women who have not yet reached the age of natural menopause (usually from 50 years of age).
The steps necessary for such a problem is :
1. You may be see a Gynecologist by your family physician who can physically check if you have any of the identifiable cause so that treatment can be instituted to address the same.
2. Blood tests that include female hormone levels, prolactin levels, etc may be required. Ultrasound may also be needed.
Hope this helps you
