What Could Cause Slightly Brownish Bleeding While Being On Metformin For PCOS?

hi i'm jen ,26 years old suffering from pcos from 5 years .At present on tab. metformin 850 mg bd .I am married for 6 months.Had amenorrhoea for past 8 months, but started with bleeding which is minimal and sometimes slightly brownish .I am worried .Please do advice .Thanx.

Hello,

Brown discharge is indicative of old blood. It is a common occurrence especially when your menstruation is about to resume after a period of amenorrhea. Continue the current treatment as prescribed. You will likely start your menstrual cycles soon.
