Had Oral Surgery. Why Am I Feeling Numbness, Burning And Itching On Chin?
Question: I had oral surgery on sept 24 my chin had been still numb since today it's red and burning itchIng
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
The numbness may be acceptable and resolves slowly over two three month's time. It is caused due to the nerve branches injuries during surgery and gets better with time. But the new onset redness and burning is alarming if it is significant and increasing.
It may be denoting some problem with the surgery or an infection.
You need to see the surgeon and get a local examination for this.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any questions I will be happy to answer.
