How To Determine A Fracture In Chin After A Fall?

i fell a week ago on my chin. I fell down some stairs and hit my chin on the cement. As i said its been a week and my symptomse are it hurts to touch and it feels like the part of the bone is not where it should be. I can move my jaw. I can eat a nd talk. should i go see my doctor?

Hi,

Since you fell directly on the chin on the hard cement you would have suffered a severe contusion causing a firm swelling. This is especially so because the chin bone is just below the skin. Since its been a week and you can eat and move the jaw its unlikely you have a fracture. You may feel as though the bone is moved. This could be because of the firm swelling.Ice it daily for a week more. You may visit your doctor if you still have persistent swelling and pain at the end the end of this period.
