Had Sex. Burning During Urination, White Abnormal Shaped Lesions On Vuvlva With Cold Sores. Taken Valtrex

Thanks for writing to us.
Your symptoms may be because of herpes for which you have already taken treatment. Other treatment for herpes is to maintain proper hygiene, avoid sexual intercourse(it is a sexually transmitted disease) and continue with antiviral drug and pain killer if the pain is there.
Another possibility of your symptoms is Lichen sclerosis, which is a skin infection and can be present in other parts of the body including vulva. Treatment in this case is to maintain proper hygiene, avoid tight clothing, avoid intercourse, use topical steroid and antihistamines to avoid itching.
You need to consult a dermatologist because an abnormal shaped lesion may be sometimes cancerous also.
Hope I have answered your query, if you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Dr Richa

I have already mentioned the other possibility of your problem that is Lichen sclerosis(an inflammatory disease of the skin) and I am not saying it is herpes, without proper examination it is very difficult to diagnose a disease of the vulva.
Itching is a very common symptom of lichen sclerosis and topical steroid helpful in lichen planus but excessive use of steroid not advisable.Because of itching lesion may bleed also and this type of discharge may be present.
Hope I have answered your query, If any further questions please write down.
Wishing you a good health.
Regards,
Dr. Richa
