Have IPF And Pain In Chest. Diagnosed With Gall Bladder Problem. Are They Related?

side of my chest which forced me to go the the emergency room. I was diagnosed with a gallbladder
problem. and had it out next day. One week later I feel so much better and my lung function seems to have improved. Also my persistent cough is less, though still there. My question is: what is the connection between the lungs and the gallbladder, if any?
I am glad that they were able to diagnose the gallbladder
problem quickly and take care of the problem. Hope you
are feeling better. Any inflammation that is close to the lungs
will affect the function of the lungs. Since your lungs are
weak to begin with, any adjacent inflammation will make
your lungs to work harder to keep the oxygen levels up.
The right lung has three lobes and the gallbladder is close
to the bottem lobe of the lung. If that lobe is not functioning
properly because of inflammation close to it, that can affect
your breathing. Now that is removed, your lung can expand
properly and bring in enough oxygen, and the reason your
breathing is better.
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is not directly related to
gallbladder disease that I know of.
I am glad that you are feeling better and I wish you
continued good health.
