Have Buzzing In Inner Groin Area. What Is The Problem?

Question: I am female, age 57. Weigh 125, 5,1". For three days, have buzzing in right inner groin area. What is it?
Hello,
Thank you for the query.
Buzzing or gurgling in groin area is most likely caused by close neighborhood to the intestine. Such situation can be normal if you are slim person. However usually this can be a symptom of inguinal hernia. If so, a lump and pain should be also present in this area. Put your hand in the area where you do hear buzzing and push it gently. Stand up and try to cough. If you find under your hand movable lump, hernia it is. However lack of it does not rule out hernia. The best way to diagnose it is to have an ultrasound of your groin.
Hernia can be repaired with surgery.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
