Have Compression Fracture. Having Pain And Wearing Brace. How Long Will It Take To Get Cured?
Question: i have compression fracture on t 11 t12 and l1 its been 2 months i still have pain and still wearing brace how much longer for me to get better and how much more time should i wear the brace
Hi,
The spine fractures are XXXXXXX kind of fractures because when critical enough they can destabilise the spine which can result in cord compression and paraplegia.
The healing time of fractures depends on the severity of the initial damage and displacement and your baseline health and your care for the spine.
Your physician would get repeated xrays of the spine and examine and test your spine by physical examination to get an idea of healing and your need for rest and wearing the brace.
Because pain is still there I think the time to discontue the brace is not in near future.
Please make sure that you have recovered satisfactorily before discontinuing brace support.
Wish you a great XXXXXXX
