Thanks for posting your query.
1) Kindly answer the following detail:
a) Have you any fever?
b) Have you any squeezing sensation in chest?
c) Associated symptoms: sweating, acidic belching, pain during swallowing.
2) As you have positive family history of heart disease and you have increased cholesterol, Chest pain most likely appears to be cardiac in origin.

1) Kindly answer the following detail:
a) Have you any fever?
NO FEVER
b) Have you any squeezing sensation in chest?
JUST AS I DESCRIBED A GRIPPING TIGHTNESS. COMES AND GOES, SOME DAYS WORSE THAN OTHERS. HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS.
c) Associated symptoms: sweating, acidic belching, pain during swallowing
NO TO ALL ABOVE.
I have had EKG in last 2 months. it was fine. what is a pulmonologist?
I am seeing my Lung Dr July 25, for a follow up breathing test and meds adjustment if necessary.
I do smoke a pack of day too. I do find the "episode: of squeezing in chest" to last about 20 minutes until it subsides. Not sure if its the COPD or Angina? I had gallbladder removed in 2007. It is quit debilitating when it happens and nothing seems to help but after about 20 min it subsides. thanks for you answer so fast. I am very worried.
Thanks for sharing your problem in detail.
Your problem more appears to be cardiac on origin and if EKG is normal then you should for coronary angiography, 2 D echo.
Pulmonologist is the same your lung Doctor.
Let me know the reports of your Echo & angiography.
With wishes of rapid recovery,
Best Regards,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava

I have also been suffering from severe headaches, front forehead on and off for 6 months also. I also run low blood pressure 98. - 120 top number. I don't know I mentioned earlier. Can the headaches be a part of this cardio prob you suspect?
Many thanks
Presence of headache with front headache indicates sinusitis and it is not related with cardiac ailment.
Your blood pressure is controlled.
Thanks,
Dr. Bhargava
