Have Gas Bubble Under Shoulder Blade. How To Treat This?
Question: I feel like I have a gas bubble under my left shoulder blade. It just started this morning and I've been really gassy all day. Burping relieves it temporarily. Is there anything I can do to help it dissipate faster!
Hello,
You can try tablet gasex , this will help you relieve gassy feeling.
Pro-motility drugs like REGLAN (metaclopromide) increase the pressure in the lower esophageal sphincter and strengthen the contractions (peristalsis) of the esophagus. Both effects reduce reflux and also getting air swallowed .
Avoid junk and spicy food or being empty stomach for long.Eat slowly and don't immediately after meals.Avoid large meals.
Hope this answers your question.Regards.

Please clerify your statement. "Eat slowly and don't immediately after meals." Don't what immediately after meals? The bubble is slowly dissipating, but it was very painful for a couple of days.
I did take gas-ex and prilosec, which I think stopped the gas production, but it did nothing to help dissipate the gas that had accumulated in my shoulder (or what felt like, under the shoulder blade).
Today it is almost gone. I did several internet searches, I was in so much pain, and every single one of them said, there's really nothing you can do but wait for it to dissipate. However, if I can avoid this in the future, I'd certainly like to.

I am really sorry - I meant don't sleep immediately after meals. This doesn't allow swallowed air to come out.
I guess you can get a chest xray done to confirm that there is no issue related to lungs causing such feeling of gas below your shoulder blade.
There is nothing much one can do to prevent this apart from what I have mentioned in previous reply.
