Have Itching Around Belly And Waist At Evening And Night With Swelling. Cause And Cure?
Question: hi doctor, i have itching around my belly and right and left part of weist at evening and night. i can not see any raches when i itching then that part swell.

From the description it seems you might be having urticaria.
Urticaria is characterised by itching and raised red swellings/bumps or sometimes raised red lines( dermatographism). However, to rule out other possibilities and offer treatment, I would like to know
Since how long are you having it
Any associated features like history of allergy, worm infestation, infection, dental caries, thyroid disorder, joint pains etc
Any other person in family having history of itching in night or history of small red papular lesions in any family member .

hi Dr,
No in my family no body have this history. i have started since last three weeks. it not itching whole day but in the evening time much itching than night. i can not see anything on that area but when i itching by nail and there is swelling on itched area by nail.
is this any allergy or else/

It seems you might be having delayed pressure urticaria. Sometimes due to occlusion or continuous pressure for along time severe itching and rashes develop. This is usually seen around waist line due to tight trousers or belt and sometimes around ankles due to tight socks.
To treat the same
Try and keep the area pressure free that is wear loose trousers or do not wear very tight belt.
Take tablet cetirizine or loratidine twice in a day.
To soothe the area, apply calamine lotion over itchy areas.
