Have Weight Gain, Sleep Apnea, Hypothyroid, Hyperinsulinemia And Low Ferritin. Any Thoughts?
Question: I have weight gain sleep apnea hypothyroid hyperinsulinemia and low ferritin. Any thoughts?
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Both Hypothyroid state and the hyperinsulinemia are strongly associated with weight gain and the sleep apnoea and the high cholesterol levels side effect of weight gain.
Also low ferritin levels could be secondary due to low thyroid levels.
Basic pathology in you is due to hypothyroidism and Hyperinsulinemia the cause for which could be a Endocrinal syndrome.Extensive work up has to be made with an idea to asses the well being of other endocrinal functions and rule out an generalized endocrinal syndrome.
Please do attach all the test reports relevant to your history, so that I can understand your condition better and suggest you specifically.
