Having Fever And Occasional Cough With Nose Bleed. Cause?
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
Fever could be because of various causes.
The associated complaints and physical examination findings help in diagnosis.
Does he have any other associated complaints?
Is there running nose?
Does he have any chills or rigors?
Does he complain of sore throat?
Is there any history of burning urination or increased frequency of urination?
From when is your kid having this nose bleeding?
Did it start with fever onset or is he having this complaint from before?
Commonest cause of nose bleed in a child is nose picking. If he is not noted to be frequently nose picking or blowing his nose the wrong way some times blood pressure recording and investigations (including a platelet count) may be required to arrive at the cause of nose bleeding.
