Having Lower Abdomen Pain Radiates Till Lower Back. Have High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol And Take Blood Thinner. Remedy?
Question: Hello: This morning while coaching, an area I think is associated with my kidneys starting hurting- as if I needed to urinate,(but I did not need to). I went home and rested, and the pain subsided to a certain degree. The pain is now also in my lower abdomen, below the ribs, and it continues to radiate to my lower back. I have had the symptoms for about 6 to 7 hours.
Hi,
Thank you for being with XXXXXXX
The pain that you are describing could be pain from spontaneous passage of ureteral stone. Low back pain and urinary strangury are symptoms of passage of stone already in the distal ureter. I would suggest a consult with your local urologist and he would probably request for a ct stonogram, a serum creatinine and a urinalysis to rule out UTI. Your history of gout and elevated uric acid gives you a high risk of developing uric acid kidney stones.
