Having Pain In The Neck. Taking Dillaudine. MRI Showed Buldging Disc. Meaning? Treatment?

Thanks for posting your query.
It seems that the pain that you are having in the neck and back is due to the muscle spasms due to the injury.
You need a hot shower or use a heating pad under the painful areas for relief. This will help in relieving the muscle spasm. In addition to the pain medications that you are already taking, you need a good muscle relaxant like Thiocolchicoside ( prescription medicine) . You can also have XXXXXXX (carisoprodol) or Flexeril - muscle relaxants available over the counter for relief.
Have a partner gently massage the sore or painful areas.
Try sleeping on a firm mattress without a pillow or with a special neck pillow.
Use a soft neck collar for a short period of time to relieve discomfort.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.

Thanks for writing again.
Tizanidine has a better efficacy than Skelaxin.
You can also take tablet Tylenol 400mg twice a day for 4 days along with the medicines you are taking already. Avoid temperature extremes. Drink plenty of fluids and consume plenty of fruits and vegetables.
If the symptoms do not improve or you have worsening of headache, review with your doctor for careful examination and to obtain more specific prescription medication.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Persistent pain causes desperation and asking for a revised prescription should not make your orthopedician upset.
Please do not worry and get a second opinion after a re examination.
