What Causes Delayed Periods With Abdominal Pain And Black Stools?
i have miised my period 2 days back and im alwys havng a regular cycle befre..im havng abdmnl cramps freqntly and today im havng a black stool with mild pain and havng a sharp pain at particular point in my abdomen..my labia looks swollen...wat does it mean?
A few causes of black stools are upper gastrointestinal bleeding (like from a stomach ulcer), eating certain foods like black licorice, blueberries etc., medications such as iron pills, hemorrhoids etc. As you have missed your periods only 2 days back, you can wait for another week and then if period doesn't come go for a pregnancy test.
A single episode of black stools is not significant. If you experience black stools frequently then you may need to see a gastroenterology specialist. But as of now, you don't need any intervention. Just wait and watch. Swollen labia may be due to allergy, trauma, any insect bite etc. If your labia swells further and is associated with pain and redness, please do consult a gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
