Having Scabs On Nose, Which Hurts And Comes Back After Picking. What To Do?
Also I have a white toungue that I brush and it comes back soon after
Your question is a good one and I will work on providing you with some information and recommendations.
First of all regarding your nose I know it is almost a human nature to try to pick up these scabs but you need to stop doing that for the time being to allow that tissue to slowly heal. What you might also consider doing is applying a small amount of Vasoline to the inside of your nose where the scabs are located. This will help to promote moisture and healing of the tissue.
The healing process may take one or two weeks at least so I encourage you to be patient.
Regarding the white coloration of your tong this might represent a fungal infection. We refer to this as thrush. If you have this symptom you might need to visit your doctor for examination and possibly a prescription to help eliminate the thrush if that's what you truly have. It is possible at the same time that your tongue may just be coated and not infected.
I would encourage you to continue good oral hygiene including brushing your teeth two or three times per day as well as brushing your tongue.
Again try to allow healing of your nose by refraining from touching that part of your body for a couple of weeks. Try some Vaseline to maintain good moisture. Also I really think it might be time for you to visit with your doctor to discuss what is going on with your tongue as well.
Thanks again for sending your question. Please let me know together any additional specific concerns that you would like to discuss.
Sincerely,
Dr. Galamaga
