Your symptoms are suggestive of inflammation of the
lining of your lower esophagus or stomach. If you have
used any medication like aspirin or other NSAIDs like
ibuprofen or naproxen etc, this can cause small ulcers
in the stomach.
Other may be an acute ulcer from acid damage
Duodenal ulcer is associated with excess acid and also
presence of a bacteria, H.Pylori.
To confirm, you need an upper GI x-rays or endoscopy.
There is a breath test for H.Pylori.
You can start taking drugs available over the counter
such as Omeprazole,Lansoprazole,Rabeprazole or
Esomeprazole once or twice a day about an hour before
meals.Avoid excess caffeine,alcohol and spicy foods.
If your symptoms improve within a day or two, you can
stay on it for 4-6 weeks.
