General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Usual case of chronic gastritis consist of identification of underlying cause with detailed case evaluation as a thorough history, physical examination, lab workup, ultrasound and upper GI endoscopy.

The usual cause is H.Pylori infection and should be confirmed with biopsy.

Till that time period, control of diet, regular exercises, PPI as omeprazole and antacid syrup formulas, control of stress are take home messages.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
