Head Injury, Nose Bleed, Tremors. Could Previous Head Injuries Be The Cause Of Tremor Or Is It Possible Essential Tremor?
Also neurologist prescribed propronol. Took it for 3 months but made me feel soool bad I stopped. Felt very nauseous n lite headed the entire time...yuck. I am over weight but only since the last 3 yrs or so,yet I have what I perceive as low bp. bout 100/79 but went to urgent care few months back for excruciating abdominal pain that lasted 3 days. Rn took my bp and it was 50 something/70!she said I was just really relaxed. Funny thing is when I feel the most jittery n anxious my bp never shows that. I am NOT relaxed! Also had heatstroke when I was 23 n scarlet fever. At first thought tremors cld b because of the stroke or fever but it happened 8-9 yrs after my first tremor episode. Tremors only happened once in a blue moon till bout 7yrs ago. Then became much more frequent ( daily). What I noticed always was my head tremor ( no no motion). But friends said they noticed my hands more which I did not. Was misdiagnosed by 3 drs n saying I had anxiety! 1 even put me on Wellbutrin one of the worst things for a tremor pt. I had to self diagnose n went as a cash pt to neuro. I now have unusually excessive sweating n difficulties w articulation in addition to the other symptoms I previously mentioned. I have been dealing w this for soooooo long that I'm just done going to drs who couldnt care less n thus more or less give a dx of whatever possibly dx I may have mentioned. Eve neuro said probable et even though he said sim kind of central tremor. Et is not caused by Cns! Pls help! Cold stoke of fever have exsaserbated this tremor issue? Also had multiple. Whip lash befor teens from turning head tool quickly. Always had mild issues w proper pronounciation of certain words. Ex peel I would say pell. To pronounce the eel in peel I must make an exaggerated effort to properly align my jaw so as to say it correctly. I believe it has a connection w the "laziness" on my right side of my face. Also when I hit the side of my head in the car accident it was on the left side.
Thank you for sending your question.
Your question is a good one and I will work on providing you with some information and recommendations regarding the problems you are experiencing.
Regarding the nose bleeds also called as Epistaxis is a common problem usually seen due to local causes like blunt trauma to the face and nose-picking. Thought there was no direct injury to the nose, blunt trauma can cause temporary nose bleeds and is not of major concern. Treatable causes like hypertension needs to be exuded.
Regarding the tremors in the hand, head and jaw I would like to consider the possibility of essential tremor. If you have one or more family members with similar tremors the diagnosis of essential tremor can be confirmed.
Regarding the facial changes I feel the descriptions provided looks like you have facial weakness on the right side. If you feel your symptoms are progressive then you need to consider doing an MRI scan of the brain to exclude other serious causes.
My recommendation would be for you to see your Neurologist for a CAT or MRI scan of the brain to exclude structural reasons for your progressive neurological disease. You may need medications like beta blockers to control your tremors if they are disabling you. If nose bleeds recur an opinion from ENT surgeon is required to exclude local causes.
I thank you again for submitting your question. I hope you find my response to be both helpful and adequate.
If you have any additional concerns regarding your question I would be happy to address them.

Thank you for valuable comments.
When I initially went through your problem I could only see the first paragraph and is the reason for missing additional details given by you earlier.
Regarding the nose bleeds as mentioned earlier the commonest cause is local problems in the ear. If not we need to rule out bleeding disorders which also can present with nose bleeds.
Regarding the tremors I feel the descriptions looks like ET. However confusion and dizziness during the tremors is odd. In view of dizziness, balance problems and episodes of confusion during tremors I would like to exclude CNS cause for all these problems.
Scarlet fever and heat stroke rarely causes problems in the brain and is not the cause of your current symptoms. Regarding the low BP, dizziness and muscle cramps could be due to low blood pressure. In this I would like to consider the possibility of autonomic neuropathy which can cause tremors, fluctuating blood pressures, excessive perspiration and muscle cramps.
So I recommend you to see your Cardiologist for tilt table test and Holter monitoring to confirm the possibility of Autonomic Neuropathy. If positive we can work you up for the possible causes of AN. In view of this Betablockers cannot be used at this point of time. Only other option for you is Primidone and Botox injections for the tremors.
I thank you again for submitting your question. I hope you find my response to be both helpful and adequate.
If you have any additional concerns regarding your question I would be happy to address them.

Excuse my terminology. I understand that u have not made a dx but merely offered expert opinions, therefor pls omit my statement of XXXXXXX your dx XXXXXXX n replace w XXXXXXX ur expert opinion XXXXXXX Being educated in the medical field myself I understand the need for accurate terminology. Thank you again ....
Thanks for the comments.
I only can think of this possibility at this point of time. Do consider this possibility and XXXXXXX your Cardiologist for the diagnosis.
Wishing you good health.
