Hip Replacement Surgery Done. Can Hip Pain Cause Borderline ECG?
Question: I am having hip replacement surgery and had an ECG that came back boarderline. Can hip pain be a cause of a boarderline ECG?

Look, ECG means electrocardiogram. Basically it indicates some parameters like integrity of the conduction system of heart, heart rate, rhythm, axis of the electrical gradient, and most importantly, any sign of coronary artery disease.
It detects any abnormality exclusively present in heart, not any other organ. Abnormality in other organ does not have any impact on ECG as it depends upon the electrical activity of heart.
So, it is not possible for hip pain to cause a borderline ECG. It is alarming. So, consult with your treating doctor about it.
