How Accurate Is HIV Test 81 Days After Exposure?
Question: hello, i had a sexual encounter with a friend of mine after 81 days of exposure i came out negative for a hiv test using tridot method how accurate it is please help?

Tridot test is used to detect antibodies to HIV 1& 2. It is a very sensitive test > 99%.
Antibodies may take 2 weeks to 3 months to be formed.
As the test is done on 81 days it is almost conclusive that you are free from HIV.
But you can repeat the test again after 3 months of exposure to allay fears totally.
All encounters are not a risk. It also depends on partner history.

Thank u for the reply, I also had encouter with the same person almost 5 months before the test, I did the test past weekend only now to remove all my fears can I conduct the test again in march as the last time I had sex with the person was on 23rd september 2014?

worry much right as I did test on 13th December and had sexual encounter on september 23rd as I read on net that I have to even go for tests even after 6 months Im really panicky thinking of this.
